WHO WE ARE
Don Schaufler
Don has been fascinated by the natural world as long as he can recall, spending many hours in the woods while growing up. This interest led to the achievement of a B.S. in Forestry from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Since then he has been employed as a logger, timber buyer, consultant forester, and a forestland manager interacting with people and forests from various perspectives. Don is a Certified Forester by the Society of American Foresters and enjoys helping landowners and private forest owners understand the art and science of responsible forest stewardship.
Jerry Gordon
Jerry is an avid outdoorsman and environmentalist who enjoys promoting forestry and conservation efforts through work on his property. Together with his wife JoAnn, his stepson Michael, and their dog Mia (she's a Vizsla!), they have been playing on their property in southern New York and enjoying the full benefits and satisfaction of land ownership. Jerry holds a BS in Public Affairs (majoring in Environmental Science), an MS in Environmental Science, and an MBA. He has spent most of his career working in the field of environmental health and safety at universities. Throughout his involvement with both his professional and academic pursuits, Jerry has been able to take advantage of the vast resources available to him in deciding how to manage his property.
Jim Hilker
Jim is the CEO of 4U Video Internet Productions, specializing in digital video and web-based technology integration into training, how-to topics, and special events. Jim holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Project Management and a Master of Arts in Educational Technology. Jim lives in Ithaca NY, but travels the country providing the services of 4U Video Internet Productions.
